Bridge of the Gods

Not only one of the most beautiful places, but close to my favorite custard stand.

A foggy afternoon at Skamania

This is one of my favorite places, no matter what the weather is like.

What are they eating?

We saw this mass of birds feeding on something.  Jeff, we are counting on you for the answer.

The love of my life

The tow truck driver

We talked with him later.  He does this 5-7 times a day on the weekends, and said he doesn't work the other 5 days.

Then came the tow truck

Uh oh

Turns out a two wheel drive car, and driving on the beach aren't a good match.  We watched the saga.

Also from Ecola State Park

Ecola State Park

We took a wonderful hike in Ecola State Park.  As a fellow hiker commented, the trail involved intermittent mud, but the views were well worth the dirty shoes.

Frying pan man

We happened by a garage sale in Gearhart, and Ian bought this frying pan.  As he carried it around, he became known as frying pan man.

Crabbing at the beach

On the other end of the spectrum was this free-range Golden having a great time crabbing.

Ian says bite her!

We saw this dog at the Astoria Market.  Check out the nails.  Ian said the dog should bite her owner.

Sandy's beach house

We lucked out with the weather this 4th of July weekend.
